Cavine Akello sells traditional pancakes at a market stall in Kitgum, Uganda. An IRC program for young mothers helped her to save enough to open her business. Since the rebel Lord's Resistance Army was driven from the region, thousands of people have returned from displacement camps to rebuild their communities. more »

Malaysia is home to one of the largest urban refugee populations in the world. Refugees live in constant fear of arrest, abuse and detention; they struggle to find work and are at risk of exploitative employers.
