National Volunteer Appreciation Week is April 15-21. What better time to consider volunteering for the International Rescue Committee at one of our 22 offices around the United States?
Volunteers are the life blood of our refugee resettlement programs, helping new arrivals adjust to their communities, teaching English and prepping job seekers for interviews. Georgette Verdin, who has volunteered in the IRC’s Seattle office for two years, describes it as one of the most rewarding experiences of her life. “Working with refugees is both liberating and inspiring,” she says.
Join Georgette. To find out how you can become a volunteer, visit the refugee volunteer opportunities page.
