What was a trickle only months ago is becoming a steady flow. During the first seven months of the year, close to 9,000 refugees crossed into Iraq from Syria. However, since early August, more than twice that number have arrived here. more »

Agnes Libbi Smith lost her father during the civil war in Sierra Leone and her mother when she was 13 years old. Agnes was physically abused and raped by a teacher who promised her an education. She found help from the IRC. more »
