I took these photographs of actress and IRC Voice Rashida Jones this week as she was visiting the Tham Hin refugee camp in Thailand. The camp’s residents have fled war and upheaval in Myanmar and have lived in the camp for years, or in some cases, decades. more »

I’d initially heard about Muhammad from another IRC colleague. “He’s amazing,” she said. “At the height of last year’s flooding, when everyone else was fleeing to safety, Muhammad went in the opposite direction.” more »

The IRC’s country director in South Sudan, Susan Purdin, has been invited to the official Independence Day ceremony tomorrow where she will join heads of state and dignitaries from all over the world including Colin Powell and former President Jimmy Carter, as well as celebrities such as George Clooney. more »

Last year the First Ascent kayak team went on an African river expedition with stops to see IRC programs in action along the route. They made a film called Kadoma about the journey and now they're raising money to support the IRC's work in Congo. more »
