On April 30, 1975, the army of North Vietnam rolled into Saigon, the capital of South Vietnam. The day, celebrated in Vietnam today as Reunification Day, marked the end of a long, bloody, and divisive war—and of the IRC’s work in South Vietnam. more »

I took this photo while visiting the village Sheikh Misri in Nangarhar Province in eastern Afghanistan.
