VOICES FROM THE FIELDTHE IRC BLOG

One house, three bedrooms, 24 kids

Photo: Ned Colt/IRC

This young boy is one of more than two dozen children living in this three-bedroom home still under construction in Libya. While they have no plumbing, they are fortunate to have a roof over their heads. Their families fled violence in their hometown of Tuarga in northern Libya and, like thousands of others, have found temporary housing with other Libyans.
