Photos: At the 'Rally to Restore Sanity'

If you joined the throng at Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert's ‘Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear’ on the Washington Mall this morning, you might have caught sight of some of my International Rescue Committee colleagues getting the word out about our work helping people caught in crisis.

Fourteen staff members from our DC government relations office and refugee resettlement office in nearby Silver Spring, MD were there, handing out IRC bookmarks -- 10,000 of them in one hour -- to rally-goers. The bookmarks tell the story of how the IRC came to be (thanks, Albert Einstein) and include a handy map of the Mall.

IRC VP of government relations and advocacy, Anne Richard, shared these photos of the team with bookmarks in hand, ready to dive into the crowd.
