"They are emaciated. Some of them are so sick that we have to refer them to our inpatient facility immediately upon seeing them.”
- The International Rescue Committe's Dr. Milhia Kader, describing the malnourished children who are arriving at the Hagadera Camp in Dadaab, Kenya with their families after fleeing drought in Somalia. She says the biggest concern is with children less than five years of age.
