"I have the best and worst job in the world. The worst part is having to bear witness to human suffering, the best part is really being able to empower people and help them to actively improve the situation around them."
- International Rescue Committee child protection specialist Rebecca Chandler, telling her hometown newspaper what drives her to do humanitarian work. Becky is one of this year's recipients of a Sarlo Foundation Award for Distinguished Humanitarian Service.
