Syrian refugees face financial uncertainty [Audio]
August 6, 2012

Michael Kocher, the International Rescue Committee's vice president for international programs, recently spoke with American Public Media's Marketplace about the dire economic situation for Syrian refugees who have fled to Jordan. "We're seeing many of the families we are working with, they run out of money within a week's time," Kocher said.
As many as 150,000 refugees have found refuge in Jordan since the start of the Syrian conflict 17 months ago, 75 percent of them women and children.
