Last fall, Nigeria experienced record floods that forced some 2 million from their homes. The IRC has been providing returning families with safe water and sanitation, basic household items, and agricultural aid essential to get farmers back on their feet in time for the next planting season. more »

Today, officials from governments around the globe are meeting in New York to discuss how best to help Haiti. IRC president George Rupp and seven other aid agency leaders have set out half a dozen action points for this meeting they say could save lives and provide opportunities for millions of Haitians now and for years to come. more »
