In West Bank schools, the IRC's Healing Classrooms encourage student engagement. Students frequently work in teams of three or four to share ideas and the teacher works with each smaller group, then the class as a whole. more »

Sitting in on Mohammad’s class, one can see just how engaged his students are. They sit in groups of four, working together to solve a language question. When they need insight from their teacher, Mohammad comes to their desk. He is one of dozens of teachers in the West Bank using the "Healing Classrooms" approach to education. more »
