When fire swept through the Ban Mae Surin camp on March 22, thirteen-year old Sha Nay Htoo’s immediate reaction was not to flee the flames, but to help rescue other refugees. Today, Sha Nay is lying in a hospital bed with third degree burns over most of his body. more »

Actress and IRC Voice Sarah Wayne Callies recently visited a Thai camp where the IRC assists Burmese refugees who have fled conflict and economic hardship at home. She writes about a refugee and IRC staff member whose mission is to make the camp a safe place for every woman who lives there. more »
