The IRC is calling for a humanitarian corridor in Pakistan's combat zone so people can flee to safety and vital aid can be delivered to trapped civilians. Meanwhile, we're continuing to respond to the urgent needs of hundreds of thousands who have escaped to the relative safety of family and friends, camps and other temporary shelter. more »

The IRC's Mike Young told the Council on Foreign Relations today that the situation in Pakistan is deteriorating, with projections of 1.8 million displaced -- a number that could significantly rise if the fighting widens or intensifies. more »
