Quoted: Volatile situation in East Africa

"The largest single crisis at the moment is the drought in East Africa and the Horn, and in particular in Somalia. The fact is that Somalia has already suffered major calamities because of the ongoing conflict there. So there are people who are fleeing with only what they can carry, getting to the border of either Kenya or Ethiopia and needing to have support — and already very close to death."
- International Rescue Committee president George Rupp, speaking with The Economist about the drought crisis in East Africa and what's being done to help.
