As the violence intensifies in Syria, civilians are forced to endure the punishing bombings and raids or flee their homes seeking safety across the border. In Jordan, I visited IRC health clinics in Ramtha and Mafraq, cities close to the Syrian border, and met with three Syrian women who fled to Jordan after their husbands were killed and their dwellings outside of Homs destroyed. more »
