Luan Meraku is the International Rescue Committee's deputy regional director for Asia, the Caucasus, the Middle East and North Africa. He is also the IRC office representative for Jordan and Palestinian territories.  A native of Kosovo, he was a member of the first IRC team that re-established our presence there after the NATO intervention. Luan has also worked with the IRC in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Southern Sudan and Afghanistan.
