Humanitarian Crisis in East Africa
The lives of millions of Somalis are at risk as drought and famine ravage their country. The International Rescue Committee is continuing to provide water, food, health care and other lifesaving aid to thousands of people in Somalia, and in neighboring Ethiopia and Kenya.

One Year After the Floods
As another monsoon season begins, the IRC is continuing to provide clean water and health care, and helping communities devastated by last year's record floods to rebuild vital infrastructure and kick-start their local economies.

Tsunami Relief
The IRC is continuing to support the relief efforts of Japanese aid groups providing lifesaving assistance to survivors of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck northeast Japan in March.
Responding to Crisis
The gravest threat to human lives usually occurs in the initial stages of a major emergency. The IRC maintains an Emergency Response Team that can be deployed to the site of a crisis on 72 hours notice.
