Edward Bligh, Vice President and Editorial Director

Edward Bligh is vice president and editorial director.  Mr. Bligh initially joined the IRC in January 1998 as executive on loan from AT&T and was named vice president, communications, the following year.  He assumed his present position in December 2008. 

A graduate of St. Peter’s College, he began his career as a reporter for the Newark [NJ] Evening News and later was a public relations manager with Sperry & Hutchinson Co. in New York; with the Beveridge Organization, a Chicago-based PR agency; and with the former AT&T subsidiary New York Telephone.  Among his varied AT&T assignments, he was director of public-policy public relations and executive director of the AT&T Foundation.
