Gregory Brown, Director, Geneva Office
Greg Brown is the director of the IRC’s office in Geneva, where he represents the agency with various branches of the UN, including the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Mr. Brown also oversees the Protection Surge Capacity Project, a program designed to provide support to UNHCR field operations.
Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Brown was program officer for the Balkans, Caucasus, Asia and the Middle East; he also had field assignments in Azerbaijan, Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia and East Timor. He has a B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, a master’s in international affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and a juris doctorate from the University of California’s Hastings College of the Law.
