Kay Bellor, Vice President of U.S. Programs
Kay Bellor is the IRC’s vice president of US programs, overseeing the IRC’s resettlement programs in 22 US cities. She joined the IRC in 1995 and has worked in the refugee field for over 25 years. From 2005 to 2008, she was the director for the IRC Overseas Processing Entity (OPE) in Bangkok, Thailand. While in Thailand, she established a successful operation to assist refugees seeking admission to the United States. From 1995 to 2005, Ms. Bellor was the senior director for resettlement at the IRC.
Prior to joining the IRC, Ms. Bellor worked with Church World Service from 1984 to 1995. While at CWS, she served as associate director and as the deputy joint voluntary agency representative in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia among other responsibilities. Ms. Bellor was a Peace Corps volunteer in Sierra Leone from 1980 to 1983. She has a B.A. degree from the University of Virginia.
