Addressing Violence Against Women and Girls in Conflict Settings
Violence against women and girls in crisis settings is pervasive. A new report, "If Not Now, When? Addressing Gender-based Violence in Refugee, Internally displaced, and Post-conflict Settings" examines such violence in 12 countries, highlights gaps in prevention and response programs and sets guidelines for a multi-sector coordinated plan to tackle the problem. Written by Jeanne Ward, this report is a project of the International Rescue Committee and the Women's Commission for Refugee Women and Children, on behalf of the Reproductive health for Refugees Consortium.
