Photo Essay - The 'Humanitarian Train': Restoring a Lifeline for Eastern Congo

The International Rescue Committee restored a vital train route in war-ravaged eastern Congo, enabling trade and transport of critical supplies to hundreds of remote villages along its corridor.

With the train's inaugural run last December, suddenly we were able to provide by getting simple things like aspirin and vaccine to children previously out of reach, says the IRC's Christine Sefu.
