Press Release: New "Must Have" Bag to Help Educate Children Worldwide
Created by Intuition founder Jaye Hersh, these “Must-Have” MARKET BAGS are designed to make a difference. Over 100 million children worldwide -- most of them girls -- are unable to attend school, and without an education lack the tools needed to reach their full potential.
“I created my company, Intuition, as a way to pay for my own children’s education – the money went ‘into-tuition’ – and now I want to help other children in need,” said Hersh, adding that these new plastic totes were inspired by the bags she once used to sell merchandise from the back of her car.
MARKET BAGS come in four different styles with the option of being monogrammed. The interior is lined with a lightweight canvas, and each bag comes with a coin purse or a luggage tag and plenty of pockets. The collection caters to all ages, including a great book bag for school-age girls and the perfect shopper tote for busy Moms.
Designed for everyday wear, the bags can be purchased exclusively through www.shopintuition.com. Retail prices range from $85-$100. For each bag sold, Intuition will donate $35 to the International Rescue Committee. The goal of this exciting collaboration is to raise $175,000 for the IRC’s education programs around the world.
“Last year nearly 300,000 children – more than half of them girls – attended classes taught by IRC-trained teachers in schools rehabilitated or supported by the IRC,” said Rebecca Winthrop, who oversees the IRC’s education programs around the world. “We are tremendously grateful for Intuition’s support in helping us expand these crucial programs.”
Intuition was chosen by Time magazine as the best online shopping site in 2006; Intuition continues to set the trends and offer the next “Must-Haves.” Just recently, Intuition was chosen by Target Stores to be the exclusive retailer for Targét Couture, an exclusive collection of high end clothing and accessories. This collaboration caught the attention of many media outlets including CNN, MSNBC, People Magazine and The Today Show.
