Writer, Photographer and Women's Advocate Ann Jones Blogs from West Africa
The International Rescue Committee is working with writer, photographer and long-time women's advocate Ann Jones to help women in war zones — survivors of conflict, displacement and sexual and domestic violence — document their own lives with digital cameras and make their voices heard.
The year-long project is called "A Global Crescendo: Women’s Voices from Conflict Zones."
Ann is blogging from Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), posting new photos and stories each day from November 25 to December 10: The "16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence." Ann plans to begin a second series of posts — from Liberia — in January.
