The situation in Pakistan is dire, with 20 million people affected by devastating monsoon floods, millions of acres of crops destroyed, and early reports of cholera that signal the threat of a major health disaster. Mike Young, International Rescue Committee regional director for Asia and the Caucasus, Tammy Hasselfeldt, the IRC's Pakistan country director, and Peter Biro, the IRC's senior communications officer, provide an update on the IRC's response in this phone briefing from the field recorded August 26, 2010.
