Raft Along

On June 29th twenty-four IRC Boise youth will raft the Payette River along with almost 700 other kids and the Boise Police Dept.  IRC Boise offered this opportunity as part of the Summer Youth Program, which brings kids and police together to break down barriers and develop understanding by working together rafting.  The rafters are teamed with officers and a professional guide, given safety equipment, and learn how to work together paddling the rafts to navigate the river safely.  Along the way, they stop for a lunch of barbequed hamburgers on the banks of the river.  IRC Boise is thankful to the Boise Police Activities League and the Cascade Raft Company for offering this unique opportunity to our kids.
