April Spring Cleaning Needs

April unrolls the season of spring, and you can help newly arrived refugees with their spring cleaning! IRC will be accepting donations of home cleaning products, including laundry detergent, mops and buckets, vacuum cleaners and new sponges or cleaning cloths.

As always, IRC accepts new or gently used items in working order for distribution to newly arrived refugees. We will be accepting these items during our donations drop-off hours, Wednesday mornings from 9 – 12pm and Thursday afternoons from 12 – 4pm at the IRC office. Unfortunately due to space constraints, we are unable to accept donations of furniture. If you have furniture please consider donating to Welcome to America Project which helps furnish refugee apartments.

Many thanks go out to the Phoenix Health Plan and IRC volunteer Laura Blackwell for collecting 2,500 hygiene products in an IRC-focused community donations drive. These personal and home hygiene products are critical to the health and safety of refugees, but are very expensive to purchase on a limited budget.
