Welcome to the IRC in Baltimore
The IRC in Baltimore is dedicated to providing refugees with the skills, services, and support they need to succeed. Since opening its doors in 1999, the IRC in Baltimore has resettled over 3,775 refugees providing effective and innovative resettlement services to assist refugees to rebuild their lives and achieve sustainable self-reliance.
The minute these brave individuals and families step off the plane in Baltimore, IRC staff and volunteers are there to help them on the final leg of their journey from harm to home. We provide housing and cash assistance, access to health care and other basic services, and help men and women gain the skills they need to secure stable employment. We also help refugees realize their dreams of becoming U.S. citizens.
We succeed in assisting refugees only with the strong support of the Baltimore community. Refugee families benefit greatly from community volunteers, advocates, and donors. I urge you to become active in our efforts to assist refugees to establish a safe and secure life here in Baltimore.
It is my hope that you will regularly visit our website and stay informed on the numerous activities offered by the IRC in Baltimore. If you would like to get involved or learn more, please contact us at Baltimore@Rescue.org.
