IRC Boise Finds 30 Refugees Jobs in August!

“You’re hired!” was the theme in August for IRC Boise refugees. In the month of August, there were 30 new job placements by the IRC Boise employment team. The tireless work by the IRC Boise employment specialists in seeking employment opportunities for refugees paid off in August. A variety of different businesses were part of the August hiring. Businesses who each hired several refugees in August included farms, such as Symm’s Fruit Ranch in Caldwell and Three Mile Canyon Farm in Boardman, as well as Oregon and Boise area hotels like the Hyatt Place and The Riverside Hotel.  A handful of refugees were also hired for sewing and warehouse positions at ATK Blackhawk in Meridian.  Based on the new employment opportunities for IRC refugees in August, it looks like more Boise businesses are seeing the advantages of hiring refugees!
