IRC Youth is honored by Mayor Bieter

Lay Gay Baw is a recipient of the Mayor’s 2010 Youth Award.   Only a handful of students in the valley are chosen for the award, which states that he is a “leader of tomorrow.”  The award is presented to students who exhibit excellence and great leadership potential in spite of great adversity or challenges they have faced. 
Lay and his family arrived in Boise in 2008.  He is a sophomore at the Boise Language Academy and participates in many IRC youth programs, including the leadership development program.  He is an outstanding achiever and deserves our congratulations.     Read more
