Refugee Success! Saad Lifts Performance of the IRC in Boise
Saad, a skilled banker and analyst, is an Iraqi refuge who came to the United States in March 2010. He brings a strong ability to look at systems and design better controls and communications for those systems. As an older man, when he first got to the United States, he initially leveraged assistance from a federally funded program to assist seniors in finding employment, Experience Works. Through Experience Works he worked at the Momentum Group (Create Common Good), and then was placed with the IRC in Boise. Saad has elevated the performance of the IRC in Boise, by better organizing our interpreter corps and receptionist volunteers, by providing unlimited technical training for staff and volunteers new to working with advanced computer systems, and by constantly evaluating our office systems and how they can work better. Saad has now graduated from Experience Works, and works as a full time Finance Assistant / Receptionist for the IRC in Boise. We are lucky he works with us!
