IRC Hosts Warren St. John for the Virginia Festival of the Book

On Wednesday, March 17th, IRC will host author Warren St. John for the Virginia Festival of the Book. Mr. St. John’s book Outcasts United, a national bestseller, tells the inspiring story of a refugee soccer team, a remarkable woman coach, and a small southern town turned upside down by the process of refugee resettlement. Join us from 6-8pm on March 17th at CitySpace on the Downtown Mall to hear Mr. St. John share his experiences in writing about the Fugees Soccer Team of Clarkston, GA and chronicling the effects of IRC refugee resettlement on a Southern American suburb, followed by a short presentation about the work of the IRC in Charlottesville.
