The IRC Participates in the 2011 Festival of Cultures

The IRC in Charlottesville recently participated in the 8th annual Festival of Cultures sponsored by the Adult Learning Center of the Charlottesville City Schools.  The event, held in Downtown Charlottesville, is a tradition that brings together all of Charlottesville’s residents to celebrate and raise awareness of the cultural diversity in the city.  The festival features cultural exhibits, traditional ethnic foods, performances and hand-made crafts.  The IRC, along with other service agencies, had the opportunity to distribute informational materials and recruit volunteers.
