Learning to Swim

Newcomers to Charlottesville this summer included children from refugee camps in Bhutan who had never learned to swim. They got to practice their strokes and make friends right away, thanks to scholarships from a local institution, the Fry’s Spring Beach Club. The IRC depends on its community partners to help build new lives for refugees in Charlottesville.
