New Roots 2011: IRC Community Garden Project Gets Underway
Are you an avid gardener or interested in being a part of one of IRC in Charlottesville's most popular projects? The 2011 New Roots community garden project enables IRC clients to grow their own vegetables and maintain a connection to their home traditions and culture. Last year, New Roots built gardens for 24 refugee families and this year we hope to involve even more. You can support the project through a contribution of gardening tools, seeds, lumber for creating raised beds, or a cash donation. This is an excellent opportunity to become a part of the IRC community. Watch for more information to follow in the coming months.
