Zoe Tuck Promoted; IRC Welcomes Kendra Siebert

After nine months as the IRC’s receptionist/office manager, Zoe Tuck has been promoted to logistics coordinator. Zoe, a native of Greene County, is responsible for making sure that newly arriving refugees have apartments, utilities, and basic home furnishing. She serves as a liaison between refugees and property managers, and she manages detailed data required under federal contracts. Zoe graduated in 2007 with a B.A. in political science and views her job as a fulfillment of her dream to build a career of service. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, photography, and traveling to music festivals.

Kendra Siebert is now the first person clients see when they walk in the IRC’s front door. Kendra discovered the IRC while volunteering as an ESL tutor at Charlottesville’s Adult Learning Center, a job that prepared her well for navigating language barriers and understanding the needs of refugees who come to the office every day. Kendra has a degree in English/Journalism and two years of experience as an AmeriCorps volunteer. A native of Indiana, she enjoys artisan cheese, local foods, and hiking.
