Introducing IRC's Newest Staff Member: Vania Tong, Assistant Caseworker

IRC in Los Angeles enthusiastically welcomes its newest addition to the team, Vania Tong.  After serving as an IRC Employment and Outreach Services Intern for five months, Ms. Tong is joining us as Assistant Caseworker. She graduated from the University of San Diego with a major in Interdisciplinary Computing in the Arts and a minor in Cognitive Science. Ms. Tong will be a valuable asset in easing the office caseload, and, as the IRC continues to reach out to Chinese asylees, her fluency in Chinese will prove to be crucial. She hopes to gain more work experience in a non-profit setting before eventually enrolling in graduate school. She is excited to continue working in a diverse office setting and to serve an equally diverse population.
