IRC in the Community

Recently, the IRC in Los Angeles was invited by Noor Events to participate in the “Taste of the World: Armenia” festival in Pasadena. The festival focused on Armenian culture and gave the wider community an opportunity to come out and experience the music, dance, food, and local businesses associated with it. Emelina Vartan, IRC Program Coordinator, gave an interview about IRC’s efforts to the local Armenian language television channel covering the event. Thomas Hill, IRC’s Executive Director, spoke to those in attendance about IRC’s work and what role we play in the community. Resettling more than a thousand refugees this year in the Los Angeles area, the LA office serves a high concentration of ethnic Armenian refugees, primarily from Iran.
