International Rescue Committee (IRC)

IRC Volunteer/Intern Process

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or intern at the IRC in Los Angeles, the first step is to attend a monthly orientation session. During the orientation, you will learn about the International Rescue Committee, the programs in our office and who we serve, our current volunteer positions and the volunteer application process. When you are ready to join the IRC in Los Angeles as a volunteer or intern, you can fill out the application. The application will be available to complete during the orientation.

Space in the orientation is limited. To reserve a spot, see dates below and RSVP for the date/time that works for you. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with additional information the week of the orientation. It typically takes at least two weeks to complete the application process (including the background check). Once you have completed the orientation, we will begin the process of integrating you into the volunteer program, and assign you to a position that will empower you to make a difference.
