Year End Gifts Can Be Made In Several Ways
December brings the opportunity to review our tax situation and consider making charitable gifts before the end of the year. This holiday season finds many of us facing new challenges. But these challenges help us focus on those things we are so thankful for, yet so often take for granted: the comforts of home, peace and safety, and abundant freedoms.
Your tax deductible gift to IRC Los Angeles will be used to provide assistance in areas such as housing, job training and immigration services for both refugees and asylees in the Los Angeles area.
Here's how to support IRC Los Angeles with your year-end gift:
Gifts Online
Credit card donations can be made on-line at https://www.theirc.org/donate/donate-now-los-angeles or by phone at 818) 550-6220 ext. 6546. All Credit card donations must be processed in 2009 in order to qualify for a tax deduction in 2009. On-line contributions must be submitted no later than 11 p.m., on December 31, 2009.
Gifts by Mail
Due to the holidays and IRS regulations, we suggest that mailed Check or Credit Card donations be post-marked no later than December 26, 2009. Checks that are mailed must be postmarked by December 31, 2009 to qualify for a 2009 tax deduction.

Additional Gifts
The IRC Los Angeles can also accept donations of property, stocks, and life insurance. Additionally, if you are over 70 1/2 years of age, you can make a gift from your IRA without claiming any increased income or paying any additional tax. Please contact us for additional details.
