US Bank Donation to Benefit Over One Thousand Refugees

The IRC in Los Angeles wishes to thank US Bank, and the US Bank Los Angeles Market Grant Committee for its recent decision to support employment and economic empowerment programs for refugees in the Los Angeles area. Thomas Hill, IRC’s Los Angeles Executive Director, received a $5000 check from Sandra Rothermund, Vice President of the US Bank Glendale Branch; these funds will be used to provide professional education and enhance employment training for numerous refugees, most of whom have arrived to Glendale since the beginning of 2011. The IRC in Los Angeles expects to help more than 1000 Iranian, Iraqi, and African refugees resettle in the area this year, and the generous support of local business partners such as US Bank ensures that those seeking a new life in our community will be able to thrive and provide for their families on their path towards the American dream.
