Niang: Success is a Journey

Niang and his family of six arrived in Miami 6 years ago from Burma. The family lived in a Refugee Camp in Malaysia where they fled persecution from the military regime in their country. Despite the language barrier when they first arrived to the U.S. , Niang was determined to succeed and thrive in America. With the help of the IRC, Niang and his family settled into an apartment in Miami.

About eight months ago Niang began making and selling Sushi at Whole Foods Market, the world’s leading natural and organic grocer, and about 4 months ago expanded his Sushi business to include setting up shop at a large college campus, where he does wonderfully! Niang works alongside his son-in-law and sons and involves the whole family in his success.

After overcoming countless struggles in his homeland and making  a whole new life in America, Niang is a wonderful example of the American Dream. Niang is known for his respectful demeanor and IRC in Miami is delighted to see him prosper!
