A Reason to Give Thanks on Thanksgiving

Each year, the IRC in Miami hosts a thanksgiving celebration for the refugee families.  With the help of donors, the IRC is able to provide a large basket of food that feeds a family of six. This year, friend and donor, Sheila Stieglitz, donated ninety bags full of Thanksgiving specialties for the families to prepare on Thanksgiving Day.  The families are also given a gift card to purchase a turkey. The IRC Miami will decorate the office and invites local celebrities as well as beloved Disney characters to entertain the beneficiaries as they wait to be given their Thanksgiving bag.  The IRC Miami is happy to share the joy of this American Holiday with the refugee families and spread the excitement of the Holidays.
