Winter Holiday Parties

In December, the IRC NY/NJ Regional Office proudly hosted two holiday parties for the refugee families resettled to the New York and New Jersey areas in the last year. Both events were a great success, complete with food, dancing, gifts as well as an unexpected appearance from Santa Claus himself. For most of the refugees present, this was the first party they ever attended in the United States and seeing them embrace their new home by joining in on the celebration was truly moving.
 
We are forever grateful to all of you for so generously donating time, gifts, enthusiasm, food, music and never ending energy to both of these events!
 
We would especially like to thank our friends at Health Net, Second Home, Aroma Restaurant, Food Trends, Delmonico and Subway for their wonderful contributions. We couldn't possibly forget our colleagues at IRC Headquarters for graciously participating in our Giving Tree, as well as the staff at Reed Smith and Conde Nast for their secret Santa project. Last, but by no means least, thank you to our dedicated volunteers who supported our every whim and request – you are all an invaluable part of the IRC NY Family!
