IRC Sacramento Celebrates Volunteers Significant Contributions
The IRC Sacramento office held a Holiday Appreciation Mixer on December 12th at the Globe Mills Lofts in downtown Sacramento, which was attended by 30 volunteers in addition to the IRC staff. This past year, volunteers have served the IRC in many capacities, from registering children in school to mentoring refugee families, to teaching clients to navigate the health care system to resume and job development services and teaching clients English language courses. The efforts of these volunteers have tremendously supported our efforts to assist these new Americans in their journey from harm to home.
We are grateful for all volunteers who donate their time to our cause. Several volunteers were recognized for their outstanding efforts:
• Scott Wheeler– Outstanding Service (Employment Support)
• Kent Hoffman – Outstanding Service (Employment Support)
• Leanne Cameron – Excellence in Service (ESL Coordinator)
