International Rescue Committee (IRC)

October Volunteer Orientation

If you are interested in contributing to work of the IRC in Phoenix as a volunteer or intern, the first step is to attend the Volunteer Orientation. The hour long orientation is a great way to learn more about operations of the IRC, as well as the various opportunities available to meet your particular skills and interests.

The next Volunteer Orientation will occur on Monday, October 10 from 6:00-7:00 pm at the IRC in Phoenix office on 5227 N. 7th Street Phoenix, AZ 85014 (7th Street North of Camelback Road). To reserve your spot and receive more information, please send an email to VolunteerPHX@Rescue.org.

Please Note: Volunteers and interns must complete a background check and the IRC kindly asks that you contribute $30 towards this cost. Due to the large number of applications we receive, once you attend the orientation and return your completed application you will be contacted when a position opens which suits your availability and interests as well as our needs. It typically takes at least 2-3 weeks to complete the application process and background check. Please plan ahead if you have timeframe restrictions or are looking to receive school credit.
