Refugee Farmers Sell in Local Markets

With the help of International Rescue Committee’s New Roots Farm Program the Somali Bantu Farmers currently have nutritious locally grown summer squash, melons and okra to sell at local farmers markets. Please support these new refugee business owners and stop by their market stands:

A.      Scottsdale Stadium Summer Market (Near Old Town Scottsdale-Osborn and Drinkwater): Saturday from 8:00am-noon;
B.      Downtown Phoenix Market (McKinley and Central) Wednesday 3:00pm-6:00pm and Saturday 7:00am-noon;
C.       Ahwatukee Farmers’ Market (4700 East Warner Road): Sunday 8:00am-11:00am

If you are interested in supporting refugee farmers, please email Jon Vosper, Economic Development Program Manager, or call him at 602 433 2440 ext. 235.
