Back to School Drive a Success!

Through the month of August the IRC in Salt Lake City collected 160 backpacks to distribute to newly arrived refugee children. Generous donors in the Salt City Community provided new backpacks filled with school supplies for elementary, middle and high school aged youth. The backpacks were distributed just in time for youth to start the school year off right.

The IRC would like to thank our generous Salt Lake City community for their donations during our August drive. The IRC would like to send a special thank you to Adam Watsanabe, an Eagle Scout in Salt Lake City, for raising over 50 backpacks and other school supply donations for our youth.
