CNA Scholarship Awarded to Help Refugee Pursue Career in Health Care
Thanks to Eclipse Home Health, we had the opportunity to award one refugee a scholarship to obtain a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training and licensure. Chandra Parajuli, who was awarded the scholarship, is excited to begin his training. Chandra came to Utah in September of 2012 after living in a refugee camp in Nepal. While in the refugee camp, Chandra worked as a Health Assistance Worker helping refugees with various health related issues. His dedicated work was recognized with a scholarship from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for a yearlong Community Medical Assistant (CMA) training which he successfully completed. Overall, Chandra has 12 years experience in the health care industry in Nepal.
With this CNA scholarship, Chandra is excited to pursue a career in the health field. He is excited to learn about the health care system here, and to spend his time helping and serving others. Congratulations to Chandra for this great opportunity!
